NEBRASKA. (KOLN) - The Department of Veterans Affairs announced Wednesday it is awarding $3 million in grants to four Nebraska organizations to support veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

The recipients are:

Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership – $385,294

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership - $2,308,227

Blue Valley Community Action Partnership - $793,184

Ponca Tribe of Nebraska - $350,000

The funding, distributed through fiscal year 2026, will help veterans access housing and counseling, health care, financial planning services, childcare, legal assistance, and transportation.
