The Peoria Unified governing board is planning a second reading of a proposed policy during its Sept. 25 public meeting that seeks to regulate parent attendance at high school practices.

The board also will consider during the meeting a number of other policies ranging from public records to the criminal trespass order, which may be issued to those who engage in conduct that violates district policy.

The purpose of the sports practices policy, introduced by board President Heather Rooks, is to establish procedures and expectations regarding parent and guardian attendance at high school athletic practices.

The proposed policy had a first reading Sept. 11.
