A 14-year-old was killed after an off-road motorcycle collision that left three others injured in Peoria.

Police were not releasing the name of the teen killed in the accident about 3 p.m. Sept. 28 near Old Carefree Highway about a mile west of Lake Pleasant Parkway.

Officials said two motorcycles with two passengers each were traveling westbound on Old Carefree Highway, each with one passenger, when one slowed for a bend in the road and was struck by the trailing motorcycle. The impact caused all four riders to be thrown from the motorcycles.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle that slowed was driven by German Moreno, 18, and the motorcycling following was driven by Estevan Torres Arias, 19, police said in press release.
