NL Health Services has not been consulted on any of the health care promises being made by the political parties to see if they’re doable, says the chair of its board of trustees.

The health authority held is annual general meeting this morning.

Afterward, NL Health Services Board Chair Bob Andrews and CEO Pat Parfrey took questions from reporters.

They were asked if the parties checked with NLHS before making their promises, and whether they can be done.

“I can’t say we’ve been consulted on any them but there are parts that we may have known about. But no, not really consulted in the way it’s packaged and said, ‘here’s what we’re going to do,” said Andrews.
