Crunchyroll is having a banner year in 2025, with Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle ruling the box office and, now, a welcome return of a beloved service. Crunchyroll Manga is returning as a standalone app, providing readers with globally popular manga at their fingertips. The app will launch for iOS and Android on October 9, 2025, in the U.S. and Canada.

The announcement comes via Crunchyroll's press release and confirms a wide array of publishers' content will be involved, including, but not limited to, VIZ Media, Yen Press, Square Enix, and more. It will be an ad-free experience available at no added cost for Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan subscribers ($15.99 per month) with options for lower tiers as well.
