SEATTLE — Keep your head on a swivel, Seattle parkgoers. You never know “hoo” might swoop down from the trees.
An owl recently dive-bombed a parkgoer at Lincoln Park in West Seattle and snatched their hat, said Seattle Parks and Recreation spokesperson Rachel Schulkin.
The department is now alerting the public about owl attacks at the park, even setting up warning signs.
It seems that most of the owl attacks are happening at a trail intersection in the middle of the park, Schulkin said, and it also appears to be one troublemaking owl.
The serial dive-bomber doesn’t have a name by the way, so brainstorm your best owl puns: Boe Wing? Hoo-lio Rodríguez? Sue Bird?
