With a penalty to kill in the second period in Oshawa on Sunday, Kingston coach Troy Mann tapped Andrew Kuzma to take the defensive-zone faceoff and didn’t think anything of it when he sent out Andrew’s younger brother Robin out to play beside him.

This single moment in the Frontenacs’ first road game of the season might not have registered with anyone else, Mann included, but it did with the Kuzma brothers of Naperville, Ill. This penalty kill was the first time they ever skated together in a game.
