On Wednesday, Alyssa Milano announced in an Instagram post that she was undergoing surgery to remove her breast implants. The 52-year-old actress posted a photo of herself in a hospital cap and gown, writing that she was excited to let go of “the body that was sexualized, that was abused, that I believed was necessary for me to be attractive; to be loved; to be successful; to be happy.” She also noted that she hoped the decision to remove her implants would save her 11-year-old daughter, Bella, from “ever feeling those same unhealthy demands.”
