Justin Fields is progressing towards a return on Monday night.

The fifth-year quarterback practiced on Thursday, but remains in concussion protocol, according to Jets coach Aaron Glenn.

“He still has to go through the whole protocol before he’s totally cleared,” Glenn said. “But I like where he’s at.”

Glenn also stated that Fields would be the Jets’ starter against the Dolphins if he is cleared to play. Fields has to pass all five steps of the concussion protocol, including participating in a non-contact practice and being examined by both a team physician and an independent neurologist.
