Hyderabad is on track to become India’s first city to treat all its sewage, with the inauguration of the Amberpet STP marking the beginning of a 31-plant rollout. BRS leader KT Rama Rao credited the previous government for initiating and completing most of the Rs. 3,866 crore project.

Hyderabad: Thanks to the initiative of the previous BRS government led by K Chandrashekhar Rao , Hyderabad is poised to become the first city in India to treat 100 per cent of its sewage.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao expressed happiness that BRS’s efforts were paying off, with the first of 31 sewage treatment plants (STPs) set to be inaugurated on Friday.
