SANDERSVILLE, Ga. — A Central Georgia district attorney has been named by the Prosecuting Attorneys Council to oversee any potential case into former Washington County Solicitor Michael Howard , who resigned after public outrage over his dismissal of county DUI cases.
Houston County District Attorney Eric Edwards confirms that he was named District Attorney Pro Tempore back in August. That's essentially the outside prosecutor who is named to handle a case when there is a conflict in the district attorney's office.
