COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Yesterday, Humberto formed in the Atlantic. As of the latest advisory, Humberto is a Tropical Storm with sustained winds of 45 MPH. Humberto is forecast to strengthen, potentially becoming a Major Hurricane by next week. Humberto will make a close call with Bermuda, but likely misses any type of direct interaction with the East Coast.
West of Humberto, the National Hurricane Center is watching another wave for tropical development. Given the designation Tropical Wave Invest 94-L, it’ll take a little longer for development to occur due to the mountainous terrain within the islands of the Caribbean.
