Boston Police report officers arrested a man walking down Salem Street in the North End last night with a box of baseball cards and another box of chocolates stuffed in his pants that they say he had stolen from Going Bananas after breaking into the store, which sells more than just bananas.

Police say officers actually arrived at the 64 Salem St. market, around 10:30 p.m., just in time to spot Elvin Clayton, 24, of Roxbury, crouched in front of the 64 Salem St. market, stuffing things down his pants before he spotted them and tried to casually walk down the street.

A witness told officers that, just minutes earlier, the suspect had approached her and asked for a screwdriver.
