THE newest direct flight destination Americans can begin planning vacations for is one of five "Blue Zones" across the world, famed for the longevity and health of locals.

The opportunity comes from Delta Airlines, who has already confirmed key info such as when the flight will be offered and the frequency at which it's expected to run.

United States travelers can begin flying to Sardinia, Italy on direct Delta Airlines flights starting on May 20, 2026.

The flights will run out of John F. Kennedy international airport in New York City , and will run four times weekly.

Round trip flights to the island destination will start at $997, per the official Delta website.
