Authorities say two people were attacked by a bear near Seward, Alaska, on Wednesday evening.
The Alaska State Troopers report that around 9:11 p.m., two individuals were admitted to a local hospital after being attacked by a brown bear about a quarter mile up Exit Glacier Trail. Both people fought off the animal and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say the National Park Service has closed the trail, and local biologists, troopers, and wildlife officials will assess the area at first light. The public is advised to avoid the trail and remain vigilant while outdoors.
