SHREVEPORT, La. -- A Shreveport teen shot in the Cedar Grove neighborhood late Tuesday has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Victor Samuel Jr., 17, was pronounced dead just after 11 p.m. at Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he had been taken following the shooting in the 8300 block of Harding Avenue. The shooting occurred just before 9:40 p.m.

The death marks the 29th confirmed homicide to date in Shreveport.
