The release date for Spartacus: House of Ashur has been revealed, along with thrilling new images. The upcoming series is a spinoff of Spartacus , which aired on Starz for three seasons from 2010-2013 and followed the iconic gladiator in Ancient Rome.

Spartacus: House of Ashur 's story is based on the premise of Ashur (Nick Tarabay) being alive, which retcons his death on Mount Vesuvius in Spartacus: Vengeance . In this version of the story, after stopping the slave rebellion, Ashur is gifted with a gladiator school that previously belonged to Batiatus.
