HARTFORD, Conn. — An arrest has been made in a vehicle crash that killed a bicyclist in Hartford in April, according to city police.
Michael Grady, 18, of Hartford, was arrested on Wednesday and faces charges connected to the death of Nicholas Thompson, 42, also of Hartford.
On the evening of April 7, Thompson was riding a bicycle on the 2200 block of Main Street, heading south, when he was hit by a vehicle that police say Grady was driving, police said. The vehicle also hit a parked vehicle and became disabled, and the passengers in the vehicle left the scene.
Police found Thompson unresponsive in the roadway. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
Grady has been charged with reckless driving, evading responsibility involving death and operating without a license.
