For the first time in more than 20 years, the Oklahoma State head coaching job is open.

Longtime head coach Mike Gundy was fired on Tuesday amid a 1-2 start to the season that featured a 69-3 loss at Oregon and a 19-12 home loss against Tulane. Gundy had lost his final 11 games against FBS opponents thanks to a 3-9 finish last fall.

Gundy has led this program throughout much of the modern era, and now, the school faces a major decision as to who will replace the winningest coach in Cowboys history.

Former star Oklahoma State and NFL receiver Dez Bryant doesn't think the decision is a hard one, though. Bryant took to social media to endorse who will likely become the fan-favorite target: former Cowboys quarterback Zac Robinson.

Robinson and Bryant played three seasons together in Stillwater from 2007-09, during which time OSU won 25 combined games. Robinson, who came up in the Sean McVay coaching tree for the Los Angeles Rams, is currently in his second season as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons.

Robinson is one of several candidates who will likely be involved in the search at his alma mater, and while he may be looking to advance within the NFL ranks, the opportunity to return to Stillwater could prove to be alluring for the 38-year-old, who would be a first-time head coach.
