The Cuyahoga Falls City School District Board of Education voted to close and repurpose Preston Elementary School at their Sept. 24 meeting, effective for the 2026-27 school year.

The Cuyahoga Falls Preschool and the Black Tiger Family Center — a resource for district families in need — will be relocated to the Preston building beginning in the fall of 2026, officials announced. The Schnee Learning Center will also be relocated, the school district said.
