(CNN) – Some popular portable chargers are now part of a major safety recall.

Anker is pulling nearly half a million power banks off the market because their lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing fire and burn risks.

The power banks were sold nationwide at retailers including Best Buy and Target and elsewhere online between August 2023 and June of this year.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said there have been 33 reports of fires or explosions tied to the devices.

Four people suffered minor burns, with one case of significant property damage.

Officials said you should stop using the recalled chargers immediately.
