FBI Director Kash Patel released a statement Thursday regarding data and writings found in the home of the suspect involved in the shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas, where a detainee was killed and two others were critically wounded by a gunman who then fatally shot himself.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday, Patel posted a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying that the FBI has “been working 24/7 to seize devices, exploit data, and process writings obtained on location and in the subject’s person/residence/bedroom.”
