Paul Klotman, MD, president, CEO and executive dean of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, will retire June 30 after 15 years in the role. Dr. Klotman has held the leadership positions since Sept. 1, 2010, and will continue to serve as a professor after retiring, according to a Sept. 25 Baylor news release shared with Becker’s. 

During his tenure, Baylor College of Medicine created a joint venture with Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health to form Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston and opened a regional medical campus in Temple, Texas, in 2023. Dr. Klotman also led the institution through the COVID-19 pandemic and oversaw planning for a new education building set to open in 2026.
