BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A jury trial has been set for the four men accused of killing 8-year-old Diellon Daniels in a drive-by shooting that also left his brothers wounded back in 2024.

Judge Fred Crifasi scheduled the trial to begin Sept. 21, 2026.

Police say more than 60 rounds were fired on Nov. 27, 2024, when gunmen opened fire on a car in the 1000 block of Swan Avenue. Daniels was killed, his 7-year-old brother Denim was shot five times, and another sibling was wounded. Their pregnant mother was not injured.
