Special stop and search police powers are in force again in Wolverhampton after two men died following a fatal shooting in the city.

Duaine Mills was tragically shot dead at the scene of the shooting in Leicester Street, Whitmore Reans, in the early hours of Friday, September 19.

Father-of-three Syed Zain Ali, 32, sadly died in hospital last night after he was also shot during the incident.

Section 60 police powers were in place in Whitmore Reans over the weekend and they will be in force again in the area, as well as Low Hill, from tonight until 2am tomorrow.

The powers allow officers to stop and search people without need for suspicion.
