Kehoe said he will sign House Bill 1 on Sunday, Sept. 28.
"After a thorough bill review process with our team, I am prepared to officially sign the Missouri First Map into law," Kehoe said in a news release. "Missouri’s conservative, common-sense values should be truly represented at all levels of government, and the Missouri First Map delivers just that."
The new map will break up the Fifth Congressional District currently represented by Democratic U.S. Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver.
Kansas City will be split among three separate districts.
The new maps drew mixed reactions from legislators during the special session to consider the map. O
