Kanya Fujimoto has ‘improved a lot in training’ according to Birmingham City boss Chris Davies.
The lesser spotted summer signing is still awaiting his league debut after swapping the Portuguese Primeira Liga for the Championship.
Davies hooked Fujimoto at half-time of his debut against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup and hasn’t selected the Japanese playmaker for a squad since.
Blues’ squad is stacked and Davies has a plethora of options in the number 10 positions which Fujimoto was signed for.
Asked whether Fujimoto is making a case for himself behind-the-scenes, Davies said: “I’ve had a chat with Kanya a few times. He has definitely improved a lot in training.
