Regardless of how the AL East Division race plays out, the Toronto Blue Jays will be playing playoff baseball this season.

The Jays were able to officially punch their ticket to the postseason thanks to an 8-5 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Of course, at that point, they also seemed destined to take home the division title, but some rough play as of late has put that into question .

The Blue Jays have now lost six of their last seven outings after dropping Wednesday’s game to the Boston Red Sox by a 7-1 final. While they still hold the tiebreaker over the New York Yankees thanks to winning their season series 8-5, both teams now hold an identical 90-68 record with five games to go.
