NIXON, Nev. (KOLO) - Fishing season at Pyramid Lake is set to begin on Oct. 1.
Permits are available here , but seasonal permits are not available. Permits can also be purchased at the Ranger Station from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. starting Oct. 1, or at the Pyramid Lake Museum and Visitor Center.

Boat landings will be prohibited on closed or restricted areas. You are asked to keep your boat 1,000 feet away from Anaho Island, the Sutcliffe Spawn Channel between the North and South nets, the Needles, and Pyramid Beach.
Closed waters include the area from Numana Dam to Marble Bluff to a one and one-fourth radius around the mouth of the Truckee River. A closure will extend from the south end of the Cattleguard to the east end
