The Brockville Braves defeated the Raiders 6-4 in Nepean on Wednesday night. It was the Jr. A Braves’ second game of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) regular season; Brockville had won its home-opener against Carleton Place last Friday by that same score.

It was also the second game in a row that Braves forward Peter Legostaev had two goals and was named first star.

On Wednesday, he opened the scoring on a power play at 18:07 of the first period. Tyler Smith evened the score for Nepean 18 seconds into the second period, but Legostaev restored Brockville’s lead a mere 10 seconds later.

The Braves were assessed two minor penalties a bit later in the middle frame, and the Raiders took advantage of the opportunities. Power-play goals from Nick Larkin
