INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indy Arts Council are calling on Central Indiana artists to apply for the 2026 Welcome Race Fans artworks. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 26.

Five artists will be selected to create unique pieces that will be displayed throughout Indianapolis in May 2026. The artwork will highlight the blend of art and motorsports, with both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works being considered.

Artists are encouraged to bring to life what "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" means to Indianapolis. The selected pieces will reflect personal connections and the city's vibrant culture.
