MARSHALL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people have been arrested in connection with a child neglect investigation that began earlier this year, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Mike Dougherty announced that Andrew Snider and Mary Anderson were taken into custody on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, and charged with child neglect resulting in injury.

The investigation began in April when the Sheriff’s Office was alerted by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office about a child suffering from multiple injuries, including burns and bruising.

Detectives, working with West Virginia Child Protective Services, removed the injured child and a sibling from the home.
