ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The U.S. Attorney of the Eastern District of Missouri announced Thursday 11 people, including three St. Louis area residents, are now indicted in what the office called a large-scale cocaine conspiracy.
The office said 43-year-old Jimmy Abraham Majeau, of Chino Hills, California, appeared in U.S. District Court in St. Louis Thursday. He pleaded not guilty one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Prosecutors accuse Majeau of traveling to Mexico frequently to get cocaine that he then transported across the U.S. using a commercial shipping company.
