CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will perform in Carbondale in mid-November.

According to a news release from Hangar 9, they’ll host the band and a special performance by The SIU Trumpet Studio on Friday, November 14 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. They go on sale on Friday, September 26 at 10 a.m. You can click here for more information.

According to the news release, the Grammy Award-winning, New Orleans-based band, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, was founded in 1977. They describe their sound as a “musical gumbo.”

They say The Trumpet Studio at Southern Illinois University Carbondale includes more than 20 members, many of whom perform while pursuing their music degrees.
