MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - In Williamson County, the Marion Police Department is launching a new public safety program, and if residents participate, it is expected to be a great tool in the fight against crime.

Marion Safe is a new program that provides home and business owners with the opportunity to participate and help keep the city community safe.

Here’s how it works.

If you have home security cameras, you can voluntarily register your contact information with Marion Police here.

Marion Police Chief David Fitts said it’s a great tool.
