Streets across Westmount were filled with energy, emotion and determination on Thursday, as more than 1,200 students from six Montreal schools walked 5 km to raise funds for women’s cancer care.

The annual St. Mary’s Girls for the Cure returned for its 31st edition, bringing students, teachers and supporters together at Murray Hill Park in a powerful display of solidarity and community action.

The walk raised funds for cancer treatment, research and patient services at St. Mary’s Hospital Centre.
