Belleville Senators’ senior staff reaffirmed Thursday the team is here not only to stay in the city long term but to also focus more on what it can do as an active supporter to strengthen its community engagement.
Speaking at a Belleville Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting, John Mathers, Senators’ vice-president of business operations, and head coach David Bell, said making a difference in the community is a top priority for the organization for the season and beyond.
The Belleville Senators inked a new three-year lease agreement in August with the City of Belleville ensuring the team will stay until 2030 with an option to extend their stay until 2035 pending later negotiations.
