A Guntersville man faces child pornography charges after a joint investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

That probe led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Baker’s Chapel Lane in Guntersville on Tuesday.

Authorities charged Christopher Matthew Beard, 22, of Guntersville with five counts of possession of child pornography.

He was booked into the Marshall County jail and is being held on a $250,000
