EVERETT — A 27-year-old Bothell woman was found dead in Mason County near Highway 3 after going missing more than two months ago.

On Sept. 15, deputies found a deceased woman located on timber land near Highway 3 and Pickering Road. Law enforcement identified the woman as Mallory Barbour of Bothell, who was last seen leaving her home on June 24, a Mason County Sheriff’s Office’s social media post said.

Based on indications at the scene, law enforcement determined Barbour died of homicidal violence, and her remains were left for an extended period of time, the post said.
