On Thursday at 2:29 p.m. the National Weather Service released a flood advisory in effect until 5:30 p.m. for Saratoga and Schenectady counties.
The weather service adds, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."
"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent," adds the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."
