MIFFLINBURG — A Millmont woman sentenced to two years in state prison for stealing more than half a million dollars from a Centre County municipality is accused of stealing $50,000 from the Mifflinburg American Legion to support her gambling addiction, according to the Mifflinburg Police Department.

Pamela Hackenburg, 56, of Weikert Road, Millmont, used her position as the volunteer treasurer and bookkeeper for the Mifflinburg American Legion, Post 410, to take money on 42 occasions, totaling $50,096, over 11 months between 2023 and 2024. She started in her position in September 2023 at the Legion, located at 320 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, police said.
