School volunteers celebrated for work with young learners

A pair of dedicated volunteers have been recognized for the lasting impact they have had on scores of early learners in Northumberland.

According to a news release from the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board, Diana Storen and Gayle Carver were recently presented with Ontario Volunteer Service Awards “for their ongoing commitment to supporting early literacy” at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School.
