The Orange County Sheriff’s Department on Friday released the names of those involved in a late Thursday morning shooting and suicide in Orangefield.

Investigators say 76-year-old Joseph Pitre, Jr. shot 44-year-old Lisa Marie Stanley twice and then he fled on foot.

When deputies spotted Pitre, he shot and killed himself.

Meanwhile, Stanley remains hospitalized in Houston.

There’s no word on a motive for why the man shot the woman.
