UPDATE: The man accused of sending a death threat to members of the Chattanooga Islamic society appeared in federal court on Thursday, where he learned his trial will begin in November.

Court records show that 50-year-old Robert William Miller was indicted by a federal grand jury on September 23, on one count of Transmission of Threats via Interstate Commerce.

The FBI says Miller used a Gmail account to send the threat to the Islamic Society of Greater Chattanooga (ISGC) on September 9.

The email from a “Robert” had the suspect’s initials and stated, "I'm going to kill all of you, Hail Satan.”

During Thursday's hearing, the court issued a scheduling and discovery order, listing dates or deadlines for filing motions, reaching plea deals, and future court appearances.
