The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) says its former CEO, Robert Lewis-Manning, has been fired and the search is on for a replacement.
In a statement Thursday, the harbour authority told CHEK News that Lewis-Manning had been terminated from his role and that the GVHA’s executive vice-president commercial and CAO – Judith Ethier – would be working as acting CEO, a role she’s held since July 29.
“We can confirm that the Board has made the difficult decision to terminate Robert Lewis-Manning’s employment as CEO of GVHA,” said communication manager Richard Davies in an email.
“We are obligated to strict confidentiality regarding personnel matters and remain fully focused on advancing the organization’s priorities,” he said.
Lewis-Manning was appointed CEO of the GVHA in March 2023
