ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) - Helping out those who help others in need, that was the goal of this year’s “Power Up the Pantry.”

Kentucky Power and Facing Hunger Foodbank teamed up today, collecting canned and non-perishable food items to help stock local pantries.

Crews are wanting to make sure they can get a full supply before winter arrives.

It’s an event that brings people together for a good cause.

Facing Hunger Foodbank serves four counties in Kentucky: Greenup, Boyd, Martin, and Lawrence.

They also serve multiple counts all throughout our region in Ohio and West Virginia.
