New York State Police Sergeant Nigel Barnett was killed Sept. 16 in a motorcycle crash on his way to work.

Barnett's funeral services were held at The Gathering at Faith Assembly in Poughkeepsie.

Hundreds of local and state level law enforcement, as well as Barnett's family and friends, attended the funeral honoring his life and 19 years of service.

As rain fell outside The Gathering at Faith Assembly in Poughkeepsie, a procession of New York State Police cruisers and motorcycles arrived, with emergency lights flashing. The hearse, adorned with an assortment of white and purple flowers, followed closely behind.
