A motorcyclist was killed when he was struck by a truck driver in Stearns County on Thursday morning.

The fatal collision happened around 8:50 a.m. on Highway 28 and resulted in the death of a 63-year-old Glenwood man, the Minnesota State Patrol says.

A Freightliner straight truck driven by a 32-year-old St. Paul man was traveling on Hwy. 28 when he collided with a Harley Davidson that was stopped at a stop sign behind a Chevy Silverado at the intersection with Highway 71 in Sauk Centre Township.

The Freightliner also collided with the Silverado, which was turning from Hwy 28 onto northbound Highway 71.

The identity of the Harley rider killed in the collision is expected to be released in the coming days.
