To commemorate the Rotary Club of Sylvan Lake's 25 years of service to the community, the club donated $35,000 to Bethany Sylvan Lake.

The money donated to Bethany was used to upgrade the dementia ward deck and the garden courtyard.

The dementia ward balcony was finished in the spring, and the garden courtyard was recently completed in August, Bethany Sylvan Lake site manager Deb Andersen said.

"The renovation to the courtyard triples the area we have to work with. We can now do bigger programs instead of piecing things together, and the renovation will change how we can do things here in the best possible way."
