The Boston Celtics have undergone changes from top to bottom over the offseason. While the majority of the team’s fanbase is focused on the changes to the roster, the team’s new ownership group, led by Massachusetts native Bill Chisholm, is also worthy of attention after they purchased the team for $6.1 billion from the Grousbeck family.

With the sale, Wyc Grousbeck is no longer Boston’s lead owner, but he will remain with the team until the sale gets fully finalized in 2028. However, Grousbeck’s role with the team over the next few years has been understandably murky.
